“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” – 2 Chronicles 16:9

I love Hillsong Kids, specially VOLTAGE. I love to be there, just be there, talk to the kids, listen to them, watch them, see God moving in their midst. What I love most is when in the middle of all the kids, I see the ones that have their hearts fully commited to God, the ones that have HUGE God-given dreams, the ones that are in the middle of a horrible world but don’t want to be part of it but change it. And when I see someone like that, I do EVERYTHING I can to bless this one kid, because I know it will be worth.

This is me, a man. An imperfect, limited man. And yet, I can be happy for days because I saw just one kid that has fully commited his/her life to God. I know I already said that, but… I am just a man. Now GOD, He is GOD. He is the Creator of the Universe. And yet, His eyes range throughout the whole Earth… 6bi+ of people, and they STOP when they find someone who has his/her heart fully commited to Him.

In the middle of all this foolish and blind people that hate God, mock Him, think everything is funny and fun, there is a child, a tiny little child, insignificant and useless to the eyes of most men. But the eyes of God STOP to stare at this little child. And when God sees a child whose heart is fully commited to Him, he doesn’t just get happy as I get. He also does EVERYTHING to bless this tiny “insignificant” person. But don’t forget, He is GOD, He CAN do EVERYTHING.

For this reason, when I look at the children, I don’t only see them, with their lives, dreams, hearts commited to God. I also see God staring at them, super-hyper-over-excited, just waiting for the right time to use them to shake this world, kick the devil’s butt, make a huge revolution of power and love to glorify His Holy name…

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” And my eyes do the same thing… :)

You’re the Answer (Tu és a Resposta), by Hillsong Kids

You’re the Answer
Words and music by Julia A’Bell, David and Beci Wakerley (Great leaders and friends!)

You are the Way
When everything goes so wrong
I look to You and
I belong safe within Your hands.

On the TV
Every night I see
A world without love
World without peace
It makes me look to You
You’re the Answer

Jesus You came
Not just for me
But for everyone else
So they can see
See Your love Lord

I want to live
I want to be like You
Making a change
Telling the world
All about Your love
You’re the Answer

I know You can hear me Lord
And I pray that You would heal my world

You’re keeping me strong
As I’m standing up for You
You’re keeping me strong
As I’m following the truth
I’m never gonna back down, give up living for You
You’re the Answer!

Tu és a Resposta

por Julia A’Bell, David and Beci Wakerley (Grandes líderes e amigos!)

Tu és o Caminho
Quando tudo dá tão errado
Eu olho pra Ti
E eu me sinto seguro nas Tuas mãos

Na TV
Toda noite eu vejo
Um mundo sem amor
Mundo sem paz
E isso me faz olhar pra Ti
Tu, Jesus, és a resposta!

Jesus tu vieste
Não apenas para mim
Mas para todo mundo
Para que eles possam ver
Ver o Teu amor, Senhor

Eu quero viver
Eu quero ser como Tu
Fazendo a diferença
Falando para o mundo
Tudo sobre Teu amor
Tu, Jesus, és a Resposta!

Eu sei que podes me ouvir, Senhor
E eu oro para que Tu cures meu mundo

Tu me manténs forte
Enquanto me levanto por Ti
Tu me manténs forte
Enquanto eu sigo A VERDADE
Eu nunca vou voltar atrás, desistir de viver pra Ti.
Tu, Jesus, és a resposta!

ImpactKids FUNFEST!

There is no word to describe how was the ImpactKids FUNFEST today!

It was so much fun! It was so much blessing! It was so much awakening… new opportunities, new lives, new kids, new passion!

It was such a blessing and privilege to be part of this amazing team that runs ImpactKids. I can’t bless anyone by myself… I can’t do something good for someone by myself… At the end of the day, everything is about the Amazing Grace of God, that allows us to love and bless people. It’s all about to be loved by God, be blessed by Him, and love people and be His hands, feet and blessing to the people.

As we learned this month at Hillsong Kids: O-T-H-E-R-S, Others! Others! :P It’s all about to see that there are people with (much) more problems than divorced parents (Yes, my parents are divorced, and it’s not good, in any ways)… and to know that we can do something! God saved us to change lives. God didn’t save us to be happy in our churches, singing, having fun together, worshiping God… God saved us to change our lives and empower our lives to CHANGE other people’s lives! It’s not us… It’s the Holy Spirit that dwells in us that does it, but anyway, this is our call! To disciple people, to be witnesses, to bless people, to heal people, to change history and to make history.

Like Jesus, we will find people needing help, like the man Jesus healed in John 9. And sometimes people will ask (and sometimes we will ask), “why does this person have this problem? Was it because his own sins or because his parents’ sins?”… specially if you work with kids, sometimes you will ask, “why does this kid has this problem? What did their parents do? What happened in his family?”. And the answer is clear, “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins, This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”… Did you read that? Did you really read that?

God gives you people with needs, and the people don’t have their needs because they are worse than you and me. It happened so the power of God could be seen in them! This is so amazing!

But the power of God will be seen in the people only if we carry out the tasks assigned us by THE ONE who sent us. This one is Jesus. He is the light of the world, and because of His sacrifice, WE ARE the light of the world.

The people is needing. While some people stand to ask stupid questions like, “who sinned? Where is the problem with this person?”, who will stand to be the light of the world? Who will stand to say, “this is not because of their sins, this is to show the power of God in their lives”?

I will.

Beautiful BBQ day… :)

Today was an awesome day!

We had ImpactKids this afternoon (as usual on Wednesdays), but today we had a big BBQ on the park, with games, and fun things. We had 25 Teen Mania people helping us, and this helped a lot!

I first visited some kids, and then I went to the park just to play with them and have fun. I was praying for a (really special) boy that we didn’t have the address… actually, He has three different addresses, but we didn’t have any of those. Before my team went to visit the kids, we prayed for some things, and one thing was this boy. And guess what… We met on the streets, and I got his address now! And he went to the park and we played together with more kids. God is so beautiful! :)

We also had new families and a (special) new boy. He is really awesome! He will be a great blessing for a lot of people… I don’t think he knows Jesus today, but I’m sure he will start being a huge blessing this week. I first met him two weeks ago, and we met today for the second time, and it was so good to play with him and to talk to him a little more. I am glad to be a blessing to such special people as these… God’s grace is so everlasting over me to allow me to live with these kids and to be a blessing to them. I don’t deserve it… it’s such a big thing for me… God is so precious… He is the best… :)

Well… we will have another BBQ tomorrow, and guess what?! It will be more than twice as blessed as today! :)

After the BBQ I watched “Amazing Grace” with the Church… It was good, so good… I met some friends (young friends… :D ), and after the movie I ate something with Saulo and Ana… It was good…

God is perfect. He loves me so much! And I love Him, because He loved me first…

Be blessed in the name of Jesus!

Child soldiers?

I’m having fieldword intensive, it’s part of Hillsong College. During fieldwork intensive I’m helping the kids ministry, and it’s really cool. My leaders here are the best I ever had… I’m being so much blessed, and I’m thankful to God because of it.

Today I also went to the hollywood (a Fuel’s tribe) connect-group, on a book shop, and I almost bought the book “The Little Prince”… I like this book… hehehe… inside the book shop I saw this sentence, which I found really interesting:

“The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.”
Tom Clancy

I’m sure this is not the best quote, and perhaps this is not totaly true, but I think this is a really interesting one. Sometimes the real world doesn’t make sense. But, on the other hand, if we watch a movie, and something is not well explained, we become very angry. This is funny, because a lot of things doesn’t make sense around us, and we don’t really care.

Coincidence or not, I came back home and Jeasung was waiting with a movie called “Blood Diamond”, which shows something about the child soldiers, in Africa. And on this movie, the story makes a lot of sense… it’s a really good movie… but the reality this movie shows doesn’t make any sense. Children are arrested and forced to be soldiers, and kill people. Inocent kids killing inocent people. This is our world. Of course, maybe this is not my world, because it is not happening here, where I am now. It doesn’t happen here in Australia, and for a lot of people that live here, this is not happening in their world. But it really happens in the world of other people, people like us.

Coincidence or not, we from Hillsong Church are helping a project called Watoto, which cares about the orphan child soldiers in Northern Uganda. Coincidence or not, some of these kids are coming for Hillsong Conference next week, and their choir will sing here full of hope; hope they didn’t have before. Coincidence or not, some people are giving their lives there in Northern Uganda to help these children, and giving them the hope someone stole from them. Coincidence or not, some people are giving what they have (money, time, prayers) to help these children.

We are the hands and feet of Christ, aren’t we? We don’t need to go to Africa to change our world and to be the light of Christ. We can find people needing help in our neighbourhood, and sometimes even inside our own house. We can make this situation and any situation around us to have more sense, can’t we? Unless we still want to live in a world of fiction.
